  1. FinTec Screensaver for MS-Windows 3.1.

  3. The FinTec Screensaver uses a variety of randomly selected patterns to
  4. build up designs. It can take some time to generate something interesting,
  5. so please give it a few goes if it is not initially appealing.

  7. The screensaver uses a 256 color palette if available, but it also runs
  8. on 16-color VGA.
  9.  
  10. There is only one configuration option, which can be set in control.ini (using
  11. a text editor) after the saver has been run at least once. You can set the
  12. option "risky=yes" using, which by default is set to "no". Setting this will
  13. cause the mouse to disappear while the saver is running, but it also means
  14. that if the saver happens to crash, then Windows must be restarted to
  15. re-display the mouse. (Crashes are unlikely, but there are a lot of
  16. permutations).

  18. The FinTec Screensaver is provided free of charge, and you are encouraged
  19. to copy it, as long as this readme.txt file accompanies it unchanged.
